python-plist software package provides Library for handling Apple binary and XML property lists, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-plist
python-plist is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-plist package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-plist *
You will get with python-plist package name, version, architecture and description in a table
